PMP Students,

I apologize yet again for the additional delay but I have now attached
the official Autumn Registration Form and am happy to announce that
registration is (finally!) open for those PMP students who have
completed two or more courses. Operators are standing by at (206)
543-2310 until 5:00 today.

Also, below is a message from Professor David Notkin for all PMP
students who are considering enrolling in his Software Engineering
course this quarter. Please take a moment for a reply so the course can
be best tailored to your needs.-- Dave

Dear PMP students,

I will -- after a gap of many years -- be teaching the software
engineering course (P 503) in the PMP program this Autumn. I have a few
general questions that will help me prepare a stronger class. So, if
you have time and interest and are considering taking the course, please
email answers to the following questions to me at
notkin_at_cs.washington.edu <mailto:notkin_at_cs.washington.edu>

Thanks!
David Notkin
--------

1) Did you take an undergraduate software engineering course? If so,
what kind of course was it (project, coursework, etc.), and what did you
like/not like about it?

2) Are there topics that you would like to see covered in the course?
Topics you do not want to spend time on?

3) Do you write/modify code on a regular basis? Do you write/modify
other artifacts (UML, design documents, requirements, etc.) on a regular
basis?

4) What problems -- technical and other -- do you find the most serious
in developing, maintaining, and shipping software and/or products that
have significant software components?

5) Anything else that might help me prepare a better course?
